Weekly Money Check-Up (July 4)

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my student loan payment

2. Today I am thankful for a long holiday weekend, the sunshine and my Groupon for a Shellac manicure. The Shellac polish is amazing, but you can only get it in salons.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free thing I did last week that made me happy was hanging out at the pool

4. I will consider this week a success if I can finsh a document that I started for my financial coaching business last month.

5. My favorite 4th of July tradition is watching the fireworks while listening to partriotic songs like the Star Spangled Banner, America the Beautiful, God Bless the USA, etc. As a miliarty child the 4th of July is a very special experience. There is nothing like 4th of July in DC or on a military base. While you are watching your fire works remember those who have and are serving.

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my student loan payment

2. Today I am thankful for having the money ($1200) to pay for my car seat motor replaced and my a/c fixed even if I don’t want to spend it.

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on my apartment decorations. This weekend my designer friends came over and put my apartment together. I gave them $1000 to buy what was needed. They still have some money, but I don’t know how much it is right now.

2. Today I feel okay towards money. Since the beginning of the year I have been trying to get established with a new bank. The switch is easy, but being comfortable with automatic transfers and payments is taking more time. Switching my EdFinancial automatic withdraw from one bank to another is quite the hassle. It will take about 2-3 months. I find this rather interesting because my gym can change accounts within one billing cycle if I notify them by the 10th. Whatever, I just do get EdFinancial

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was I helped plan a 60th birthday party for my dance instructor/studio owner. It was perfect and she was very happy. She had an idea that something was happening with her daughter and a couple of friends, but she had no idea that over 30 people had gotten together to surprise her with a performance and potluck.

4. I will consider this week a success if I can get alot of stuff done for my business. I want to complete the competition for my logo, register with my business with the state, get EIN (if necessary), meet with the designer and set up LLC.
5. Right now I am readingMy Way or the Highway” and listening toAre you there Vodka? It’s me Chelsea.”

2. Today I feel indifferent towards money. Everything has been spent (except blow money) until next payday.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was go with my BF & his niece to pick out a Christmas tree. Then we took her and 3 of his friends kids to Walmart to pick out decorations. If it intersting to see how everyone’s holiday favorites differ, but ultimately come together. I also wrap all my Christmas gifts.

4. I will consider this week a success if I set the date and make the invitations for my house warming.

5. My favorite holiday drink is apple cider. It doesn’t matter if it come from a packet, if it is homemade or if it comes from Starbucks (without the whip cream). I love it!!!

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on a 42″ television. I have put this purchase off for about 2 years now. The TV is still in the box in my house.

2. Today I feel okay towards money. Not much going on. It is the end of the year so things are settling in place.

3. Money can’t buy happiness. One free/inexpensive thing I did last week that made me happy was have a very good 4.5 hour conversation with a friend I hadn’t seen in 6 years. It is not often you can get a guy to sit and have an engaging conversation for this long. I walked away with a renewed sense of hope.

4. I will consider this week a success if I get most of my christmas shopping done.

5. My favorite holiday song is…do I have to choose. “This Christmas” by Chris Brown, “All I want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey, “Grown-Up Christmas List” by Amy Grant

1. The most I’ve spent this last week was on some chicken for the BF to fry.

2. Today I feel a little out of control of my money. Last payday I scheduled 3 sinking fund allotments to come out of my check account twice. Not sure how this happened. When I rebalanced my sinking funds I found an extra $445. This would be cool if I was confident that it was truely “extra”.

4. I will consider this week a success if I get all the boxes out of my room and the stuff sitting in from of my door put away.
